Police search for missing 16-year-old Clark girl, reports say

By Brent Johnson and Dan Goldberg/The Star-Ledger CLARK — Police are searching for a missing 16-year-old girl from Clark, according to online reports. Kara Alongi's name is currently trending on Twitter. Thousands of people have sent out Tweets asking for helping finding the high school students. At 6:12 p.m. today, Alongi tweeted: "There is somone in my hour ecall 911." Police sent out an Amber alert for Alongi around 10:40 tonight. The report said she was home alone at the time of her disappearance and there were signs of a break-in at her home. Alongi is 5 foot 3 with blonde hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue Arthur L. Johnson High School sweatshirt. Police and officials have not returned multiple calls for comment. Clark police cars are lining Hall Street late tonight, while officers are working inside the Alongi home, snapping photos. Neighbors are watching from their front yards, and police dogs are mulling about the front of the property.
