Oklahoma State Vs. Iowa State Final Score: Cyclones Pull The Upset

And with that, it's over for Oklahoma State. A simple Friday night matchup against Iowa State didn't seem like too tough a task for the No. 2 Cowboys, but what transpired was almost jaw-dropping. The high-powered Oklahoma State offense struggled all night as the Iowa State defense clamped down, eventually forcing overtime. And in the second overtime, a Cyclones interception gave Iowa State a prime opportunity to pull the upset in front of the home crowd.

The Cyclones didn't bother with a field goal, instead driving inside the five on the ensuing possession. And then, chaos: Jeff Woody plunged into the end zone from four yards out, giving Iowa State the upset win.

For much of the season, Bedlam -- the matchup between Oklahoma State and Oklahoma -- loomed large, but now the Cowboys BCS Championship hopes are all but out the window. For the Oregon Ducks and Alabama Crimson Tide, Oklahoma State's loss brings hope: Both teams could find themselves in the title game, facing LSU for a second time.

But as we've seen, nothing is guaranteed, especially if the Cowboys' loss is any indication. The final score from Ames: Iowa State 37, Oklahoma State 31.
