Edmonton Oilers' Sam Gagner 8 points - 4 goals night
Sam Gagner scored four of Edmonton's goals and assisted on the other four for the first eight-point game in the NHL in more than 23 years as the Oilers routed the Chicago Blackhawks 8-4 on Thursday night. Three Oilers have scored eight points in a single game: Wayne Gretzky, Paul Coffey, and now Sam Gagner." A spectacular night for Oilers Sam Gagner as he scores 4 goals and 4 assists to tie Wayne Gretzky's and Paul Coffey's record for most points in a game with the Oilers. He becomes only the 13th player in NHL history to do so
