In Wednesday's episode of the talent show the contestants jetted to sunny Miami, Florida for the next test - and by the end of the night half of them were sent home. There were plenty of tears as nerves got the better of some of the younger contestants and viewers were treated to a 'Whitney-off' as two young women rivals sang the same Whitney Houston track one after the other. Cowell revealed at the start that the team had brought around 120 acts from the original auditions to Miami but only 24 people would make it through by the end of Boot Camp. The contestants looked thrilled when they learned they were headed to the upscale Mondrian Hotel in trendy South Beach and they soon got into the swing of things by sunbathing on loungers and admiring the view from the hotel's balconies. 'I want them to have a feel of the lifestyle that success can bring,' said judge Demi Lovato. But Cowell warned: 'This is not going to be a holiday. This will be the most intense week of their lives.
