Los Angeles Clippers Defeat The Dallas Mavericks In Lob City Game

After seeing a six-point lead disappear in just about 30 seconds, the Los Angeles Clippers faced a one-point deficit with just five seconds to go. And as the Clippers tried to inbound the ball, Mo Williams nearly booted it away, sparking another lengthy review in a final minute that took closer to 10, thanks to the officials' frequent trip to the monitor. When it was all over, though, the Clippers maintained possession, then watched as Chauncey Billups buried a three to put them back on top with only a second to go.
Chris Paul remained on the bench in street clothes, giving way to Billups, Williams and Randy Foye. And it was Williams that took advantage of his minutes, scoring a game-high 26 points in 35 minutes. Billups added 21 points, DeAndre Jordan finished with 19 points and Blake Griffin had a relatively quiet offensive night, scoring 14 points while grabbing 17 rebounds.

Delonte West and Dirk Nowitzki each scored 17 points in the loss. Jason Kidd dished out 10 assists and Shawn Marion grabbed 10 rebounds.
Still, Dallas had a shot to tie on the ensuing possession, inbounding the ball from the front-court, in prime lob range. However, Los Angeles read it well, and prevented the last-second heave at the rim, hanging on for a 91-89 win.
